The old Town of Stralsund

The medieval centre with its restored and colourful gabled houses, imposing brick-lined churches and medieval cloister belongs to the UNESCO world heritage together with the old Town of Wismar. Surrounded by water – hence often called “Old Town Islands”, it still reflects the power and glory of the old Hanse time today.

The Hotel “Schweriner Hof” is centrally located at the New Market and directly opposite Marien's church. It is a building full of history which was constructed after the big fire in1680. For many years the corner house was used as a distillery and guesthouse. Today the “Schweriner Hof” is glad to have a widely ranged clientele of international tourists and businessmen.
