In direct neighborhood there is the German Museum of Oceanography with its famous exhibition and numerous aquariums. Maunter along the shopping mile to the old market, pass gabled houses of the "brick Gothic" until you finally reach the jewellery facade of the town hall in front of the church Saint Nikolai. Enjoy a fantastic view over the harbour with its numerous old buildings. You have a view over the Strelasund and even the island of Rügen or over the lighthouse on “Dornbusch” on Hiddensee.
